Q:Fenris/Hawke: Austen AU. >;D
“Forgive me,” said she, “but I must believe I have mis-heard you. Am I to understand that you have made me a proposal?”
His features flickered with surprise; he said, “Just so.”
“Excuse me. I meant to give you the opportunity to demur. I will not believe you to be serious in making me an offer of marriage.”
Abruptly, he rose to his feet. “This is your refusal?”
“You have given me every reason to refuse you.”
Fenris crossed to the fireplace with quick steps, agitation in every movement. She was not used to seeing him any less than composed; it gratified and embarrassed her at once, but did not sway her. At length he turned to her and said, “Will you tell me what you mean? or does it please your vanity to keep me in ignorance?”
At once she saw that he believed himself to be the injured party, and her pity fled her heart. “You cannot be serious, sir.”
“You mock me.”
I believe a significant number of my readers will swoon at this crossover
Reblogging again because it just struck me that all Fenris x Anders or Fenris x Hawke art I reblog has a Fenris in a posture where you can’t tell if he’s willing or resisting.
I’m trying to write a second chapter of It Would Not Be The First Time (and by “second chapter” I mean “second half of what I intended to write in the first place”) and what’s holding me up is how to write it in a way that isn’t an utter squickfest of dubcon, and is consistent with both Fenris’ values and Wynne’s. (Wynne’s values are canonically that she likes getting her leg over, although I suspect Fenny is a tad slender for her tastes, but also that she must use her power for good, which is kind of inconsistent with taking advantage of a half-starved slave on the run.)
Rambling possibly not that relevant to picture so enjoy.
Fenris met Barkspawn in the back alleys of Lowtown, trying to reach Hawke’s house by a discreet route. He was not quite sure how he knew Barkspawn specifically, but the dog itself assisted by approaching and looking up at him as if expecting to be greeted.
"Is Hawke with you?" he asked, thinking perhaps the dog would lead him to the mage. But the dog shook his head and pawed the ground, then walked away in the direction of the docks. He paused and turned back to indicate that Fenris should follow.
Foxes on the Run: ILLANM (fic) x Arbeekypok (art) for Askbroodyelf collab competition!
In b4 deadline for askbroodyelf’s collaboration competition, this artwork is by Arbeekypok based on this kid fic by me. Thanks to the anon who suggested “The first time Fenris holds f!Hawke’s and his newborn child” in response to my call for fic prompts!
Trigger warning: reference to placenta eating!
Fenris wondered if this was the way he had been born - mother hunched and panting, huddled in a remote hut on the side of a snow-covered mountain (but it could have been in a steaming jungle, or an arid beach), alone but for an inexperienced companion, hoping that the howling outside was a storm and not a pack of wolves. He had sent Varania away, and now he would never know.
Hawke was covered in sweat, her pitch-black hair slicked across her brow, her body slumped back against the wall of the hut. “Is it… ?”
He examined the tiny lump of blood and fat in his hands. It was certainly screaming enough for any concerned parent. The cord twisted between its legs - he pulled it aside to confirm that the child was a girl. She had a full head of black hair, so identical to her mother that Fenris was almost surprised she didn’t have a scar across her nose.
"Female. Seems healthy enough," said Fenris, diffidently. He shoved the baby at Hawke. She was a woman - she would know what to do.
It was only after Hawke had safely taken the child and clumsily attached it to a breast, taking much longer to settle in than Fenris expected, that he realised he was shaking.
Dragon Age II — Ailín Hawke (& Co.) “Forgiveness”
"That night… I remember your touch as if it were yesterday. I should have asked for your forgiveness long ago. I hope you can forgive me now."
A little piece with my Hawke and Fenris. Because their reunion was too cute:
Dragon Age II — Ailín Hawke (& Co.) NSFW “Sweat”
Oh hey here’s that NSFW post I was complaining about last night!
- Ailín wasn’t too surprised when he found out Fenris was a biter. Luckily enough, he’s got a whole wardrobe of flamboyantly bright scarves to cover his neck with.
- Initially, Fenris was embarrassed by all the noise Ailín makes—nowadays he works hard at getting Ailín to wake the neighbors.
…I’m loving the pit hair here.
PS errybody who loves Hannibal go follow this person.
I was not able to draw at all while on vacation, but I WAS able to come up with several ideas about my DA headcanons.
This image of Malcolm Hawke would not leave me alone at all and I had to draw him as soon as I was within reach of my tablet. He hails from Rivain and is wisdom and peace personified. He was known in the Kirkwall Circle for his calm demeanor and his easygoing sense of humor in addition to his skill in magic.
I do so enjoy the theory that Malcolm and Maurevar Carver were closer than is strictly proper, so that’s canon in my Malcolm’s case. He then met Leandra during a performance for the Viscount and the two fell in love after several meetings. When Gamlen arranged a means of escape from the Circle for Malcolm, he bid Maurevar a bittersweet goodbye and fled to Lothering and freedom.
He has vitiligo and premature streaks of grey, and passed both onto his first son, Carrick Hawke. The twins were born later. Malcolm spent his years in Lothering enjoying family life and teaching Carrick and Bethany all he learned in the circle about magic and how to do good with their Maker-given gifts.
I haven’t worked out the exact circumstances of his death yet. It hurts to think about, I’ve fallen a little bit in love with him.
I think I’m a little bit in love with him.
